MONTHLY EVENT, FIRST FRIDAY at the Iowa Center: On the first Friday of every month, join us to hear the savvy, successful business owners + entrepreneurs of Des Moines share their story. In a laid-back environment, you’ll catch some words of wisdom from women + men who have been through it before—and maybe walk away with a new connection (or two).Sessions are completely free and open to the public, and are held from 11:30am to 1pm, with networking from 11:30am to noon.

For this first Friday, we’ll hear from Nicole Lorenson at the Iowa Center for Economic Success, 8345 University BLVD, Suite F, Clive. Nicole is the owner and creator of PRESERVATION, a vintage and modern lifestyle shop + photo studio in Des Moines’ East Village. She is a classically trained photographer with a timeless yet modern style, much like her shop. Nicole has been shooting in the fashion and portrait industry 2005, specializing in weddings, newborns, and everything in between. Hailing from small town Iowa, she has found Des Moines to be her home of choice not only for herself but also for her thriving business.
